You’re breaking a cycle. But are you doing it intentionally?

Every parent carries their own history.
The ways they were parented.
The things they wish had been different.
The patterns they swore they would break.
Some parents everywhere are intentionally parenting differently from their own parents.
More emotional expression.
More collaboration.
More listening.
More honouring of individual differences.
This is progress.
But progress without intention can still recreate old patterns in new ways.
What is one generational pattern from your family of origin that you want to break? What is one pattern you want to continue? Share and let us support each other in this work.
